The Problem
Token issuers need deep, well-managed onchain liquidity, but concentrated liquidity requires constant rebalancing that no treasury wants to run itself. The alternative — an off-chain market-making desk — means surrendering custody of the tokens in exchange for a loan agreement and a call option.
The Solution
Arrakis runs the market-making strategy while the issuer keeps custody. The vault is owned by an NFT the issuer holds; Arrakis is appointed only as manager and can rebalance and set fees but can never withdraw. Compensation is a share of the trading fees the position earns.
Why it Matters
Arrakis created this category — G-UNI was the first Uniswap V3 liquidity manager, live since 2021 and peaking at $1.83B TVL. It is the leading multi-chain liquidity manager today, with its own Uniswap V4 hooks, a continuous audit program spanning seven firms, and 100+ token issuers including ether.fi, Euler, Maple and Stargate.
