The Problem
Move-based chains launched without the concentrated-liquidity infrastructure that EVM DeFi takes for granted. Sui and Aptos needed capital-efficient AMMs, permissionless pool creation and a router that could find the best price across venues — none of which could simply be forked from Solidity.
The Solution
Cetus implements concentrated liquidity natively in Move: Infinity Pools (CLMM) and DLMM give LPs range- and bin-level control over where their capital works, while the Super Aggregator routes swaps across every Sui venue including DeepBook. Vaults automate range management for LPs who do not want to rebalance manually.
Why it Matters
First CLMM on Sui, published the day Sui mainnet went live, and still ~65% of the chain's DEX TVL with 33,000+ integrators depending on its interfaces. It survived a $223M exploit in May 2025, recovered $162M through a Sui governance vote, restored LP positions at 85-99% and relaunched in 17 days — a recovery record no other Move DEX has had to prove.
