Hydration Lending
AuditedVerifiedPolkadot NativeHydration Lending is the money market of Hydration, a Polkadot appchain — a canonical Aave V3 deployment on the chain's EVM layer, wired into the native router so supply positions are tradable and liquidations settle on-chain through the Omnipool.

The Problem
Polkadot had deep parachain-native assets — DOT, liquid-staked vDOT, bridged blue chips — but no serious venue to borrow against them. Capital sat idle because using it meant bridging out to Ethereum, and any lending market small enough to launch there would have had nowhere to liquidate collateral into.
The Solution
Deploy canonical Aave V3 onto Hydration's EVM and wire it into the appchain's own runtime. Collateral is priced by the chain's on-chain EMA oracle, liquidations are executed in a prioritised on-chain queue that settles straight into the Omnipool, and the money market is exposed to the native router as just another pool type — so a supply position can be entered or exited as a leg of an ordinary swap.
Why it Matters
Most Aave deployments are isolated contract sets bolted onto a chain. Hydration's is part of the chain: the runtime can route trades through it, liquidate through the AMM sitting beside it in the same block, and pause it at the extrinsic level. Admin power is held by a runtime account with no private key that only an OpenGov referendum can act through, and the runtime contains no sudo pallet at all.
